The one good thing about this temporary apartment

For the next 10 months or so, I'm squeezed into 60 m² (646 sq.ft.) with about one third of my belongings. (Somehow all of Cassie's toys fit, though.) I have to say, though, this view is quite the salve:

The elevator lobby is just outside my door, and it also has quite a view an hour before sunset on a clear summer evening:

Cassie doesn't appreciate the view because, like most dogs, she's nearsighted. She also has an instinctive fear of heights. On the other hand, being across the street from a big park and only 600 meters from the Lake Front Trail seems to suit her pretty well.
