(Do we still call them mixtapes?)
I made 51 sequential mix CDs between 1997 and 2012, then stopped because I bought a car with a USB port. Then, last August, I said to myself, "Self, it's been almost 13 years since I made a mixtape. Let's do it!"
It turns out Audacity does a pretty good job, though it took a few hours to figure out. It also has a really annoying and well-known bug where it just forgets all the track metadata you've added as soon as you close the Export dialog box.
In any event, I spent about two hours today making Mix #53. If you're at all curious, here's the track listing:
