I got up about 15 minutes before sunrise this morning because I want to adjust my body clock by a couple of hours before stumbling off an airplane at Heathrow just after 4am Chicago time Sunday morning. I don't really like getting up before dawn under most circumstances, but today I got a sample of what I'll get to see most mornings from mid-September until the beginning of April:
Cassie certainly didn't mind getting out before 6:30 am either, despite the unpleasantly hot and sticky weather. And while she took care of her own urgent business just east of my building, I got a chance to snap a marketing photo for my landlord:
We then did a 5 km walk because neither of us will want to do much outside as the heat index creeps towards 42°C the rest of the day.
