The June solstice occurred at 8:24 UTC (3:24 CDT) this morning, while I was sound asleep. Because of that jerk Johannes Kepler, sunrises have already started getting later since Sunday, though in Chicago we still get sunsets after 8:30 pm until July 3rd. (The latest sunset of the year is next Sunday.)
The weather forecast this weekend provides some pretty strong incentives for taking advantage of today's weather: lots of sun and 25°C today, rain and 20°C tomorrow.
Cassie remains unaware of my plan to walk her at least 10 km today, but I think she'll enjoy it. It'll be light out until 9 pm. We may get home before then.
