Trauma all around

With the unmatched legal minds populating the Republican Party, and this administration in particular, the Broadview Six grand jury transcripts are still astounding. In any other administration, US Attorney Andrew Boutros would have resigned already. Not in this kakistocracy, though. How many US Attorneys have had state bar disciplinary proceedings against them while serving? We might get another one.

And that's not all:

• The Economist's latest poll shows the OAFPOTUS at net -25 (35% approval), the lowest approval rating in the 17-year history of the poll.

• Speaking of stupid things that will keep you sick, Republicans are once again lying about Social Security, because the only thing preventing the program from being fully funded is the Republican refusal to raise or eliminate the contribution ceiling.
• Adam Kinzinger refreshes our collective memories that the Monroe Doctrine era wasn't all that great for us, and the OAFPOTUS's own "doctrine" doesn't even approacth that level of readiness.
• The US diplomatic corps are unmoved by the OAFPOTUS's lies concerning groups that aren't really terrorists.
• Brynn Tannehill sees the Russian Army near collapse, and speculates about what comes next.
• Hunter Biden is winning the meme war against the OAFPOTUS's children.
• John Scalzi reports on a German court ruling that holds Google respondible for its AI search overviews, finding that they're not just search results; Google writes them.
• Independent researchers have discovered that the Global Positioning System also functions as a "numbers station", very likely providing encryption keys for the US military.
• Anthropic today released Claude Fable 5, which it claims can design software from high-level descriptions of it. I may give it a whirl tomorrow morning.
